About Us

Transcription Plus opened in 1991, when it was established by its current owner, Kathy Erwin. As a former transcriptionist for a large corporation, she saw a niche for a local transcription business that offers quality transcriptions at competitive prices.

Transcription is not a commodity. A 2003 study published in the Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine cited that medical doctors who chose voice-recognition software over a human transcriptionist spent 67 minutes a week correcting their transcriptions.1 Our clients in every profession will tell you that spending this amount of time correcting someone else's work is simply unacceptable.

For further evidence of the exceptional quality and service we provide, please read our Testimonials. We have cultivated relationships with some of our clients for over 15 years.

Since its inception, Transcription Plus has firmly rooted itself in the Indianapolis community. Past and current clients provide a survey of the greater Indianapolis economy: medical practices, Fortune 500 companies and some of the most influential sports corporations in the area. Over the years, Transcription Plus has grown in size and, more importantly, experience, but Kathy's original mission has never wavered. Ask us what we can do for your company today.
