Security

During our 19 years in business, we have watched the security issues of our clients change dramatically. Storing medical health records in a safe location at a physician's office is no longer sufficient. Electronic security has become paramount in today's work environment. The need for secure document storage stretches beyond the bounds of medicine and into many of our clients' workplaces. We utilize the same approach to security for all of clients.

Every file on our system is encryped with 256-bit encryption. For reference, the majority of credit card transactions online transmit information with a 128-bit encryption. The 256-bit encryption we employ is the same encryption used by NASA, the FBI, and the Department of Defense.

All documents stored on our computers are encrypted, all the time. Our encryption software is considered on-the-fly. That is, encryption occurs before the file is written to the hard drive. For a more technical explanation, feel free to click here.

Transmission of documents from our servers to you is secure. We use secure FTP to ensure that data uploaded and downloaded from our servers must be encryped. Attempts to log on to our FTP server through regular, unencrypted FTP will be automatically rerouted to the secure FTP protocol.

Transmission of data and voice with our phone-in digital dictation system is encrypted. This ensures the highest level of security with our dictation system.
